FIDE Women World Cup 2025 is a single-elimination knockout tournament and is taking place from 5-30 July 2025 in Batumi, Georgia.
Each match consists of two classical games where the players have 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus 30 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
If tied, a playoff will be held on the 3rd day. There are two 25 minutes plus 10 seconds rapid games followed, if needed, by two 10 minutes plus 10 seconds games, then two 5 minutes plus 3 seconds games.
If still tied, the players then play single 3 minutes plus 2 seconds games until a player wins.
