Tournament info

The King Salman FIDE Women's World Blitz Chess Championship will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia from 28-29 December. It is a 17 round swiss tournament with a prize fund of $150,000. The time control is 3 minutes per player for all moves, with a 2-second increment per move from move 1. If there is a tie for 1st place, the top two players will compete in a play-off consisting of two 3+2 games. If the score is still level, the players will play a sudden death or Armageddon game.
