The strongest open tournament for 2017.
Saturday 23 September to Sunday 1 October 2017
9 rounds, starting 1.30pm daily (12 Noon for round 9), approx. 7 hour sessions
Rate of play:
100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the remaining moves, with 30 seconds added per move from the start
Prize Money:
1st £50,000; 2nd £25,000; 3rd £12,500;
4th £6,250; 5th £4,000; 6th £3,500;
7th £3,000; 8th £2,500;
9th £2,000; 10th £1,500
