The Polish Ekstraliga Team Championships 2019 will take place from 28 August to 5 September.
This year the congress form of the championship has been abandoned and the whole tournament will be played during one meeting.
The first five rounds of the tournament will take place at the Arsenal Palace Hotel in Chorzow (from August 27 to September 1, 2019), and the last four in the Provincial Office in Katowice (from September 2 to 5, 2019).
The goal of the competition is to select the Polish Team Champion.
The 10 best teams in the country will participate in the competition. 8 of them are the finalists of last year's games, plus two teams that were promoted from the first league in 2018.
Each team consists of five basic players (boards 1-5) and at least one female player on board 6 (women can also compete on any of the first five boards).
The tournament is played in a circular system (round-robin).
Time control: 90 minutes / 40 moves + 30 minutes to the end of the game + 30 seconds increment per move starting from move 1.
