Romanian International Chess Open 2019

Tournament info

Now in its fourth edition, the International Chess Open of Romania will be hosted this year by the elegant Hotel Transilvania in Alba Iulia, partner of the event, from October 28 to November 3, 2019.

The tournament is organized by the Romanian Chess Federation and the Alba County Council and will include, besides the two sections of the tournament, for players with a rating of 2200+ and for players with a rating of <2200, other parallel events: the Mihail Breaz Memorial for Students (October 26), the Alba County Open at the blitz (October 27) and the Open Alba Iulia U1600 (November 1-3).

Time control: 90 minutes plus 30-seconds increment starting from move 1.
