The Higher League of the 73rd Russian Championship and the 70th Russian Women's Championship is scheduled to be held in Sochi on 7-18 October, 2020.
The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with one free day.
Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves then 30 minutes for the rest of the game with 30 seconds increment per move starting from the first move.
The total prize fund is 5,000,000 rubles.
Top 5 finishers in each tournament receive the right to play in the 2020 Russian Championships Superfinals.
