The 2021 U.S. Championship will return as a elite over the board national championship event, featuring 12 of the strongest chess players in America.

Over the course of eleven rounds, these competitors will battle for $194,000 in prize money, qualification into the World Championship cycle, and the coveted title of 2021 U.S. Champion.

Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game, plus 30 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
