LOTTO Polish Chess Championship is a 16-player knockout tournament and is taking place from 9-17 May 2022 in Kruszwica, Poland.

The event is a knockout, with two classical games in each match, followed, if necessary, by two rapid games, then two blitz games, then Armageddon.

Time control:

- Classic: 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus 30 seconds increment per move starting from first move.

- Rapid: 15 minutes plus 10 seconds increment per move.

- Blitz: 5 minutes plus 3 seconds increment per move

- Armageddon: Black has 4 minutes to White's 5, but a draw counts as a win for Black.
