Grand Prix Romania 2022 will consist of 5 open qualifying tournaments and, of course, the grand final – consisting of a closed tournament in which the best Romanians will participate.
This year, three tournaments will consist in classic chess and two in rapid chess.
This project supports the top performance in Romanian chess.
The Romanian Chess Federation finances each qualifying stage with 15,000 euros, and the final with 25,000 euros.
Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 15 minutes to the end of the game, plus 30 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
