The 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad is taking place in Chennai, India from July 29 to August 9, 2022, with almost 200 national teams in the Open section and over 150 in the Women's.
Each team consists of 5 players, with 4 playing each match, and they battle it out in a Swiss system over 11 rounds.
Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus 30 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
No draw offers are allowed before move 30.
Teams score 2 match points for a win and 1 for a draw.
