The Champions Showdown at the Saint Louis Chess Club from 20-24 February 2019 features five matches:
- Hikaru Nakamura vs. Jan-Krzysztof Duda - Fabiano Caruana vs. Pentala Harikrishna - Wesley So vs. David Navara - Leinier Dominguez vs. Veselin Topalov - Sam Shankland vs. Richard Rapport.
For the Rapid players receive 15 minutes for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment starting from move one and for the blitz 3 minutes for the entire game, plus a 2-second.
For each match the winner gets $36,000, the loser $24,000.
