Tournament info
SuperUnited Chess Rapid and Blitz Chess Croatia is the 3rd stage on the 2024 Grand Chess Tour, a series of five events with a total prize fund of $1.4 million.
This event will feature seven full-tour players and three wildcard players, Five-time World Champion & World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Vidit Gujrathi (India) and Ivan Saric (Croatia) and is taking place in Zagreb from July 9-14, 2024.
The rapid is a 10-player single round-robin with 3 rounds each day on the first 3 days at a time control of 25 minutes for all moves and a 10 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
The final 2 days are a blitz double round-robin, with 18 rounds of 5 minutes and 2 seconds increment per move starting from first move.
Rapid games count double, with 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw.
