The 9th edition of the Danzhou Super Grandmaster Tournament is taking place from 27 July to 3 August 2018 in Danzhou on the South China Sea island province of Hainan.
This year the 8-player single round-robin features five international grandmasters as well as some top Chinese players.
The total prize fund is $60,000, with 20,000 for 1st place.
Players have 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.
