The Brazilian Chess Championship is a 16-player knockout tournament held from 29 January to 7 February 2019 in Natal.
Each match consists of 2 classical games and in case of a tie a 25+10 match follows, if still tied another 3+2 match and finally an Armageddon game. The final consists of 4 classical games.
