2019 Riga Grand Prix is the second event of the 2019 - 2020 World Chess Championship cycle and the second one in the Series.
Two winners of the Grand Prix Series will qualify for the World Chess Candidates Tournament and eventually the right to face the World Champion in the Championship Match.
Riga Grand Prix is a 16-player knockout and is taking place from July 12-24 in the National Library of Latvia.
Time control: 90 minutes/40 moves + 30 min to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.
